On 12 May there is no better place to be than Alexandra Gardens, taking part in the much-loved Mother’s Day Classic. Each year a huge crowd of participants reminds us of just how generous Melburnians can be. This event is a source of inspiration for many and the City of Melbourne is very proud to be a long-term supporter.
The funds raised during the Mother’s Day Classic benefit breast and ovarian cancer research, meaning many more women in Australia can face the future with hope. Thank you for taking part in this classic event. We know you’ll enjoy one of the most picturesque routes in Melbourne, together with entertainment, from roaming performers to live music - and great snacks to reward your efforts. As we get outside in autumn and stay active, I encourage everyone to make this the best Mother’s Day Classic ever.
